Cable Break Repaired

05/26/2010

(Marshall)— With the help of some very talented people at Network Communications, the break in the fiber optic cable at Texas State Technical College Marshall has been temporarily repaired.

The cable provides most of the telephone and internet access for the campus at Texas State Technical College Marshall. "This is not a permanent fix," said President Randy Wooten, "but it will allow the College to function until long term plans can be realized."

Those wishing to apply for the "Taste of Tech" Camp can now communicate with admissions via the telephone, internet or e-mail. Admissions for summer classes are also available via the same sources.

"Network Communications, located here in Marshall, stepped up and went to work on a very difficult problem and got us communicating with the outside world," stated Wooten. "Between their technicians and our resourceful IT department, we are functioning again."

If the public experiences any communication problems, please contact TSTC Marshall at 903-935-1010 or 888-382-8782 or contact us on the web at www.marshall.tstc.edu.
