History

Over the past two decades, the telecom industry has experienced extraordinary advances in technology, and through it all, Network Communications has stood at the forefront, providing customized telecommunication and fiber-optic solutions and unsurpassed customer service.

The origins of Network Communications began in 1988 under the name of Network Operator Services. The company’s single focus then was providing operator-assistance services for the payphone industry.

As telecommunications evolved and grew, so did NOS, spinning off a number of new ventures including:

  • Network Enhanced Telecom, which later became NetworkIP – an international long distance prepaid platform service
  • Encompass Communications – prepaid products and telematic services for fleet managers
  • Centris Information Services – outsourced call center services

In 2002, Tim and Ronnie Martin founded Tim Ron Enterprises LLC as a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC), serving the Network companies with local telephone service. Then in 2006, Tim Ron Enterprises began providing telecommunications services in East Texas under the Network Communications name.

That same year, the company installed its first network in downtown Longview, Texas, serving 100 customers with 2,000 feet of copper cable. Today, Network Communications’ network consists of several hundred miles of fiber optics and serves thousands of business customers in East Texas (Longview, Marshall, Kilgore and Henderson), and Northwest Louisiana (Shreveport/Bossier City).

Since its founding, Network Communications has been and continues to be dedicated to investing in advanced infrastructure and leading-edge technology with the capability to deliver next-generation services, as well as designing and delivering reliable, quality voice, data and Network Communications' services.
