Job Purpose:

The Account Manager is responsible for uncovering opportunities to develop new accounts and maintain existing, assigned accounts along with a new deck of Enterprise accounts.  Primary focus is to develop a strong presence in a competitive landscape while achieving profitability and performance standards.  The Account Manager will market the full suite of services under the Network Communications portfolio ranging from IP Centrex, SIP, PRI, POTS, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, Managed Internet and Dedicated Internet.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prospect on a continual basis to identify, qualify and close high quality net new business
  • Achieve or exceed monthly revenue targets
  • Ensure and maintain minimum funnel goals are met or exceeded
  • Strategically lead internal resources to develop and execute successful pursuit plan
  • Lead all prospecting and sales-related activities within an assigned deck of Enterprise accounts to grow net new revenue and new Logos
  • Utilize professional networks, relationships with customer and other industry forums to create new opportunities/prospects
  • Build insightful and influential champions and coaches within accounts to help identify and qualify opportunities in complex environments
  • Use an effective consultative approach to create highly differentiated solutions that establish Network Communications as a strategic partner
  • Effectively lead and leverage internal sources at multiple levels within Network Communications and the customer to build the best solution for customer
  • Fully understand the customer’s decision process and create a formal trial closing process to ensure deal closure in a complex environment

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years direct Business to Business outside sales experience
  • Demonstrated stable track record of success in Sales
  • Experience developing, researching and presenting formal presentations to senior level management and other end users
  • Technical aptitude with proficiency with MS products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Familiar with local marketplace, companies and community in above stated geography
